The Sundering is set in a domain called The Zwari Nation, itself an island ripped off the side of a continent and dropped on to a different world. There are many varied personalities who inhabit the Nation. Here is a sampling, with more to come in the upcoming sequel NPC compendium, The Sundering: It's Nation Time.

AGE: 31 years.
WHITE DRAGON ANCESTOR: Whenever Lady Lonshae makes a Charisma check when interacting with dragons, her proficiency bonus (+5) is doubled if it applies to the check.
ELEMENTAL AFFINITY: When Lady Lonshae casts a spell that deals damage of the type associated with her draconic ancestry (cold), she can add her Charisma modifier (+4) to one damage roll of that spell. At the same time, she can spend 1 sorcery point to gain resistance to that damage type for 1 hour.
DRAGON WINGS: Lady Lonshae has the ability to sprout a pair of dragon wings from her back, gaining a flying speed equal to her current speed (30 ft). She can create these wings as a bonus action on her turn. They last until she dismisses them as a bonus action on her turn. She can't manifest her wings while wearing armor unless the armor is made to accommodate them (like her hooded sweatshirts), and clothing not made to accommodate her wings might be destroyed when she manifest them.
FONT OF MAGIC: tap into a deep wellspring of magic within herself. This wellspring is represented by 16 sorcery points, which allow her to create a variety of magical effects. She regains all spent sorcery points when she finishes a long rest.
FLEXIBLE CASTING: Lady Lonshae can use her sorcery points to gain additional spell slots (2 for 1st level, 3 for 2nd and onwards to 5th level spells), or sacrifice spell slots to gain additional sorcery points. As a bonus action on her turn, she can expend one spell slot and gain a number of sorcery points equal to the slot's level

LUCKY (feat): Lady Lonshae has three luck points. Whenever she makes an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw, sbe can spend one luck point to roll an additional d20. She can choose to spend one of her luck points after she rolls the die, but before the outcome is determined. She chooses which of the d20s is used for the attack roll, ability check, or saving throw. She can also spend one luck point when an attack roll is made against her. She rolls a d20 and then choose whether the attack uses the attacker's roll or hers. She regains all expended luck points when she finishes a long rest.
WAR CASTER (feat): Lady Lonshae has advantage on Constitution saves to maintain concentration when hit, can cast somatic even when something is in both hands, and can cast a spell for opportunity attack reaction.
SPELL SNIPER (feat): Her spell attack range is doubled, she can ignore half- and three-quarters cover, and gain use of the Eldritch Blast cantrip (+9 attack).
LEGENDARY RESISTANCE: Three times a day, if Lady Lonshae fails a saving throw, she can choose to succeed.
BREATH WEAPON: Once between short or long rests, Lady Lonshae can breathe out 5 feet by 30 feet line of acid causing 4d6 acid damage (DC 14 Dex save for half damage) to all caught in area.
TRAITS: Gregarious with everyone.
IDEAL: To avoid political games.
BOND: Reluctantly backs family's alliances
FLAW: Renown for repaying slights, petty.
BACKSTORY: The oldest child of the accident prone Veldrac family, Lady Lonshae is much more interested in fashion and gossip than using her prodigious magical abilities in combat. She served a perfunctory year as an adventurer after matriculating from the local Arcane College to satisfy her family's wishes prior to the Sundering. After the cataclysmic event seemingly killed her parents on a tour of the Unbroken Facade with the merchants Lord and Lady Gawyn and the Rose family of Elderrest's Proctor of the Tiger, Lonshae returned home to assume the mantle of High Arcanist and leadership of her family, widely renowned as skilled and powerful practitioners of the arcane arts. Once there, she leapt into court intrigues with gusto, backing old alliances like the family's bond with the Hightowers and Shakurs but trying to keep herself above the fray.
The Sundering is an insultingly inclusive fantasy world with intricate politics, economics and of course adventure. One of the very few Black-owned offerings in the Fifth Edition TTRPG space, this work was created by Hannibal Tabu and Damion Poitier and published by Laguna Studios.
